- Can I use the generated icon on the App Store and Google Play?
- Yes — you can use icons you generate here commercially, including in store listings. As with any AI-generated artwork, make sure the result doesn't imitate an existing brand or trademarked character before you ship it.
- What icon sizes do I get?
- The zip includes Xcode AppIcon.appiconset files with Contents.json, Android launcher icons from mdpi to xxxhdpi, a 512px Google Play icon, and the 1024px App Store marketing icon — the same export as our app icon resizer.
- Why shouldn't my app icon contain text?
- Your app's name is already displayed under the icon on every homescreen. At real sizes (29-60px) text becomes unreadable noise, and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines explicitly recommend against it. The generator's prompts steer away from text for this reason.
- What's the difference between iOS and Android app icons?
- You design one full-bleed 1024px square. iOS applies its rounded-corner mask automatically; Android uses adaptive icons that mask your icon into circles, squircles, or rounded squares per device. Never pre-round the corners yourself.
- Are my prompts or icons stored?
- The icon is generated on demand and returned to your browser — we don't keep a copy of the image or the text of your prompt. We only record that a generation happened, to enforce the daily limits.
