Connect each lesson to a practice task on the same topic. Home should show the next lesson, how long it is, and a way to start it. A course percent, or a count of days studied, can sit beside that and should stay smaller than the start button. Keep missed days neutral in the progress display. Show the days they showed up.

A lesson screen is the content and one next step. A practice screen is the question, the answer the user gave, and whether it was right, with the explanation on that same screen. Pushing the explanation to another tap makes a flashcard session feel like a test with no teaching. The course screen is the map: units, what is done, and what is still locked.

If you lock past the first unit, say so on the map, and make the open unit long enough to be useful. A lock screen can name what is included. Skip countdown timers and fake seat counts. They do not help anyone finish the lesson.

Language drills, quizzes, courses, and book notes share the loop and differ in the practice screen. A sentence to translate, a card to flip, a multiple choice question, a summary to read. Keep home pointed at the next session, and swap the practice screen to match the skill.

Questions, answered. Everything to know before you start.

What should the home screen ask the user to do?
Start the next lesson. Show its title and a rough length, and make start the primary button. Progress can sit beside it. A grid of every course with no next step is a catalog, and catalogs are where people stall.
How should practice give feedback?
On the same screen as the question. Show the right answer and one line on why, then a button for the next item. A score can wait until the end of the set. Hiding the explanation makes the session feel like a quiz with no teaching.
How do I show a free unit next to a paid course?
Mark locked units on the course map, and keep at least one unit fully open. The lock screen should name what is included. A countdown or a fake limit on seats does not help the person finish the lesson they already started.
Which template matches the skill?
Language learning or flashcards for short repeated drills. Quiz for a scored set of questions. Online course or e-learning for longer lessons in order. Book summaries when the session is reading. Home can stay similar. The practice screen should change.
