Finance mobile app templates

A finance app should make each figure easy to check. The balance, or the amount left in the budget, has to be one number in a size that does not fight a banner. Under it, transactions run in the order they happened. Each row needs a name, an amount, and a date. If you use category colors, the same color has to mean the same category on the list, the chart, and the budget screen.

The screens that carry the product are home, a transaction in detail, add or send, and a budget or goals view. Sending money gets its own confirmation. Repeat the recipient and the amount, and require an explicit confirm. Keep the review screen separate from the final payment action.

Say what the product is in the first line of home. A bank, a wallet, an expense log, and a trading screen are different jobs, even though the templates sit in one category. A calm background and one accent for the primary action keep the figures readable. An illustration parked next to the balance makes the number harder to check. Remove that before you restyle the type.

Start from a budget or expense template if the job is logging spend. Start from a banking or wallet template if the job is holding a balance and moving it. The home line should name that job in words a customer would use.

Questions, answered. Everything to know before you start.

What belongs on a finance home screen?
The current balance or the budget remaining, then the latest transactions. The primary button is the action people repeat, add an expense or send money. Goals and charts can sit below the list, or on a second screen, once the balance is impossible to miss.
How should a payment confirmation work?
Give it a screen of its own, after the recipient and the amount are entered. Repeat both, show a fee on its own line if you charge one, and label the button with the action. The result shows the new balance and a reference the user can find later in activity.
How do category colors stay consistent?
Pick one color per category and use it on the transaction row, the chart, and the budget line. If green means income on one screen, it cannot mean groceries on another. When you only have room for a few colors, group rare categories into one.
Which template matches a budget app versus a bank?
An expense or budgeting template if people log spend against categories. A banking, wallet, or transfer template if they hold a balance and send it. A trading or crypto template if home is a price and a position. Change the first line of home so it names that job.
